Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified civilian Physician-Pulmonology (Intensivist) to join our team at Matrix Providers. You will provide exceptional pulmonary and critical care services to veterans and their families at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. This full-time position involves variable hours – including after-hours, weekends, and holidays – covering pulmonary and/or ICU on-call and in-house services.
Employed by a hospital/clinic/MSO with a contract-based financial structure, the role offers a Financial Offering: National Average along with a Comprehensive Benefits Package featuring major medical, dental, vision, 401k, and malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality pulmonary and critical care services to veterans and their families.
- Deliver ICU in-house services and participate in on-call coverage as per schedule.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to best practices in critical care and pulmonary medicine.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent.
- Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with Subspecialty Certifications in Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Disease (or Board Eligible).
- Possession of a current valid, full and unrestricted medical license in one of the United States or its territories. Foreign medical graduates must have appropriate certification (ECFMG or Fifth Pathway).
- At least six (6) months of work experience within the past 12 months as a critical care physician and pulmonologist.
Preferred Qualifications
- American Medical Graduate (AMG) with Allopathic (MD) or Osteopathic (DO) training.
- Experience levels ranging from recently trained to very experienced.
- Local candidates within a 25-mile radius are encouraged to apply.
- US Citizenship is required.
