Architectural Designer - Urban Scale

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Architectural Designer with a keen interest in urban scale design and innovative, research-driven concepts. In this role, you will develop building and urban-scale concepts, create compelling visualizations, and conduct research to guide strategic design initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Create building and urban-scale concepts and communicate them effectively.
• Develop diagrams, infographics, plans, sections, and presentation materials to support compelling narratives.
• Utilize advanced visualization tools and techniques to enhance storytelling and design clarity.
• Support community engagement efforts by preparing materials and participating in workshops or community meetings.
• Contribute to strategic planning and visioning documents, including master plans and design guidelines.
• Conduct precedent and contextual research to inform massing, programming, and site strategies.
• Utilize GIS and analytical tools to evaluate context and explore design options.
• Research and interpret zoning codes, regulations, and site constraints.
• Collaborate on sustainability-focused design strategies and integrate smart city principles and emerging technologies.
• Support the full project lifecycle, from early visioning and site analysis through documentation and delivery.
• Participate in internal, consultant, and client-facing coordination and design presentations.
• Work closely with project leadership to ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment with design goals.

Required Qualifications

• Experience Required: 2+ years professional experience
• Education: Bachelor's and/or graduate degree in Architecture, Planning, Landscape, or Urban Design
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of project types and geographies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and AutoCAD
• Passion for urban-scale design and the ability to translate research into innovative design
• Ability to work independently as well as in dynamic team environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Middle East region
• Familiarity with Grasshopper, Enscape, and GIS tools
