Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic @ Rush University Medical Center

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic @ Rush University Medical Center will work on a travel assignment for 13 weeks from 08/25/2025 to 11/24/2025. This role supports outpatient clinic operations on a day shift (8AM–5PM, 40 hours per week) and involves rooming patients, taking vitals, possible blood draws, and assisting with vaccine and medication administration forms. The RN will also manage telephone triage calls, MyChart messages, prescription refills, and prior authorizations while providing interdisciplinary support.

Key Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and taking vitals
• Performing possible blood draws with vaccine and medication administration form completion
• Handling telephone triage calls, MyChart messages, prescription refills, and prior authorizations
• Assisting in patient care for attending physicians, residents, and nurse practitioners
• Managing follow-up phone calls and pharmacy calls related to patient refill requests

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Illinois License in hand
• EPIC Certification required
• Must not be a first-time traveler and must have experience with all age groups
