Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Product Marketing Manager at Canopy Tax is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and growth for our accounting software solutions. This role plays a critical part in introducing new product releases and features to market and is positioned within a fast-growing SaaS company dedicated to revolutionizing the accounting industry. This is a hybrid position based in South Jordan, UT (in-office on M, W, F).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the go-to-market strategy by coordinating cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, customer success, support, and product.
  • Develop and own messaging and thought leadership for assigned product areas and train Sales and CX teams on the messaging.
  • Conduct market research to monitor trends and analyze how market dynamics impact your product modules.
  • Analyze and synthesize large amounts of data (user research, market research, win/loss data, feedback, etc.) to determine key priorities and communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with user experience teams and external partners to research, develop, and maintain key buyer and user personas.
  • Communicate professional, targeted updates across various areas of the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably with SMB or accounting industry exposure.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical topics into clear, accessible messages.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in crafting compelling product narratives.
  • Experience managing product launch efforts and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success as an internal and external evangelist for products or product lines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to present confidently to executive stakeholders.
