Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Security Operations Manager to lead and enhance our cybersecurity operations, ensuring the protection of our digital assets against evolving threats while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Security, Risk and Compliance stakeholders to define security capabilities that address business needs and mitigate risks.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and evaluation of emerging security technologies, documenting findings and recommendations.
- Research new technologies and document findings using standard templates for presentation to leadership.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including test cases and findings reports for proofs of concept and final implementations.
- Formalize and update security policies, procedures, and technical standards while optimizing alerting mechanisms and detection logic.
- Oversee MSP team members for day-to-day support of security tools and monitor ticket queues for events and incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and incident response.
- Expertise in SIEM and EDR tools (e.g., Crowdstrike, XSIAM), Microsoft operating systems, popular Linux distributions (Amazon Linux, RHEL), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
- Proficient in developing automation scripts (e.g., Python) and familiarity with Active Directory and Entra.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and GDPR, with a strong understanding of various security domains.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related IT field with 6+ years of industry experience OR a Master’s degree with 4+ years of industry experience.

- Compensation: Raleigh: $126,565.00 - $163,790.00; Bay Area: $146,540.00 - $189,640.00.
