Data Scientist, Ecommerce - USDS

Position Overview

TikTok’s U.S. Data Security (USDS) is seeking a Data Scientist, Ecommerce - USDS to drive innovative data solutions for our e-commerce product. Based in Los Angeles and working under a hybrid schedule, you will transform large datasets into actionable insights to enhance product strategies and overall user experience on one of the world’s leading platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex datasets to solve challenging problems using diverse analytical and statistical approaches.
• Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and data presentation techniques to formulate strategies for our e-commerce product.
• Identify and measure product success through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring key product metrics.
• Define, evaluate, and test opportunities to enhance product performance and drive roadmap decisions through your insights.
• Develop data pipelines and dashboards to strengthen the data infrastructure.
• Build ML models to identify potential creators and measure user lifetime value.
• Collaborate with PM, Ops, R&D, and cross-functional teams to support and execute product strategy and investment decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above, with a preference for majors in mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
• Proficient in SQL and Tableau, with familiarity in Python or R for modeling projects.
• At least 3 years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• Self-driven and experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the E-Commerce industry.
• Strong ability to communicate and present data analysis results to drive business impact.

• Compensation: Base salary range of $136,800 - $228,000 annually, with potential additional bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
