Position Overview
Segula Technologies is a global engineering and consulting firm specializing in innovative solutions across industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, rail, and life sciences. Based in France and operating in over 30 countries, the company drives technological advancements and supports clients throughout the product lifecycle. We are seeking a Composite Mechanic to work on Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 aircraft within an FAA approved Repair Station. In this role, you will perform repairs using approved structural repair manuals and other technical documents, while collaborating with the team to ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate technical expertise in fabricating assemblies, reworks, and repairing non-metallic parts, assemblies, and aircraft using appropriate bonding techniques.
- Perform rework and repair tasks in accordance with engineering intent by using electronic media (work instructions, model-based definitions, specifications, requirements documents, MRB dispositions, etc.).
- Verify part dimensions with both mechanical and electronic precision measurement tools; conduct first article inspections when required.
- Capture, translate, and validate measurement data to meet top-level engineering requirements.
- Maintain required personal certifications throughout employment.
- Conduct complete inspections, including first part reviews of procured or fabricated parts and assemblies.
- Initiate and document any non-conforming conditions for Material Review Board action.
- Perform process surveillance to ensure compliance with quality control requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate quality records.
- Utilize and interpret CAD/CAM or similar tools to support fabrication, manufacturing, or rework according to engineering configurations.
- Coordinate with Engineering and other disciplines to develop materials, processes, and specifications for fabrication, rework, or repair activities.
- Structural Composite Repair Certified (TR009348)
- Demonstrate willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice to support airline operator maintenance requirements.
- Pass the initial screening to commence work in the repair station.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of AOG experience.
- Proven experience in "Composite Repair" as opposed to "Composite Layup".
- Preferably experienced with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
- Demonstrated heavy repair experience.
- Must successfully complete repair certification following the plate test.
