Position Overview

GRAEF, a leading U.S. consulting firm since 1961, is dedicated to technical excellence, innovation, and building strong relationships. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Team at our downtown Milwaukee Corporate Headquarters. In this role, you will work on high-profile projects while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to quality engineering and design services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Benefit from our national client relationships to work on projects throughout the Midwest and across the country.
  • Participate in project pursuits, proposals, and developing strong client relationships.
  • Mentor less experienced mechanical staff and support professional growth.
  • Develop drawings and specifications for HVAC systems serving industrial manufacturing facilities.
  • Perform facility assessments related to HVAC systems and manage projects.
  • Coordinate between multiple disciplines and attend regular meetings.
  • Utilize computer-aided drafting tools such as Revit for design work.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant design experience.
  • Experience in the design and specification of HVAC systems, including central cooling/heating plants and high-capacity airside equipment.
  • Commissioning experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HVAC load calculation and energy modeling software.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
