Job Description
Position Overview
At Constellation – the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon‐free energy – you will perform advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Acting as a technical expert and resource to fellow engineers, you will make key decisions and apply extensive knowledge of industry codes and regulations in a role that directly contributes to a clean energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
- Consult as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Fulfill engineering and technical leadership responsibilities for both short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations.
- Perform engineering tasks applying general engineering principles and ensure proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
- Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes.
- Undertake other assignments and duties as directed by management, including emergency response and outage support activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) OR related science; OR License as a Professional Engineer; OR Active/Inactive SRO License with at least 5 years of engineering or related experience (including at least 1 year in a nuclear power plant).
- Must meet required access standards (minimum or unescorted access) and pass the necessary medical examinations/testing as per position duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory or managerial experience.
- Professional Engineer Registration and/or an advanced technical degree or related coursework.
