2025 Summer Internship - Risk Management
Job Description
Position Overview
DFW International Airport provides an exceptional customer experience to our millions of annual passengers. This summer, through a generous grant provided by theSpencer Educational Foundation (SEF), we offer an internship that allows you to experience the work behind the scenes in our Risk Management Department. As our summer intern, you will work as an internal consultant, directly impacting the airport's safety and compliance. You will also learn from our comprehensive enterprise risk management program run on a professional consulting firm model.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or present written, oral, and electronic presentations to management staff.
- Participate in a variety of professional development activities providing practical experience in applying academic skills to solve business problems.
- Assist department professionals with project work including developing procedures, performing financial, operational, or business analysis, and evaluating performance measures.
- Compile business or operational data, assist in forecasting activity levels, and help develop business solutions for departmental or organizational challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an active student in aBachelor's degreeprogram for Risk Management, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or related Business Administration programs.
- Three (3) letters of reference, including at least one (1) from the candidate's academic advisor.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Current, cumulative GPA of3.0or higher from an accredited college or university.
- 60 hours or undergraduate course credit completed byMay 2024.
- A copy of the current transcript for approval by theSpencer Educational Foundation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled at one of the following universities: University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, or University of Oklahoma.
- Current, cumulative GPA of3.0or higher from an accredited college or university.
