Position Overview
Information Systems Analyst (Technology Support Services) at Riverside Community College District provides technical and analytical support to District technology programs and systems. This full-time, 12‑month support staff position is responsible for monitoring systems, implementing solutions, and ensuring performance and reliability. Location: Riverside. Salary: $8,081 - $9,838 per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical and analytical support for assigned technology programs/systems; responds to client service issues using multiple diagnostic techniques; independently resolves issues or consults with colleagues/management.
- Monitors systems for reliability and performance; provides status updates; assists in implementing policies, procedures, and standards.
- Installs software patches and upgrades; maintains security; writes system-level scripts; analyzes, configures, installs, tests, and debugs software; and supports administrative software and databases.
- Designs and develops custom code and automation solutions; deploys policy restrictions to endpoints; configures hardware, operating systems, and support tools.
- Coordinates incident resolution and advises departments on technology improvements.
- Manages IT infrastructure projects with team members and vendors; documents progress and timelines.
- Sets up and maintains physical and virtual servers; analyzes logs; and performs backups and recovery as needed.
- Maintains documentation of installations, configurations, and network diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree with coursework in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field.
- Experience Required: Two (2) years of experience providing highly technical support to an information systems program, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Qualifications: Knowledge of principles and practices related to information systems, hardware, software, server-based operating systems, network monitoring, security, and database administration, with the ability to analyze complex user problems and communicate with nontechnical users.
- Requirements: A valid driver’s license and proof of insurability may be required.
