Entry Level UX Design Apprenticeship (Remote)

Position Overview

We sponsor 2 UX apprentices for a 7-month program (offered in fall or spring) designed to guide you through the end-to-end UX design and research process while developing a startup idea that attracts hiring managers. Apprentices participatefree of chargeand receive1:1 mentorshipduring the program and1:1 UX career coachingfor up to 3 months after. We are committed to helping women, immigrants, and POC break into tech and secure6-figureUX roles—alumni typically earn between$85,000 - $130,000. Key Responsibilities

• Build digital products and services from the ground up.
• Lead the end-to-end design process for a startup idea or topic of your choice.
• Manage product and feature scoping as well as overall project management.
• Identify target markets and help position products for launch success.
• Conduct discovery research including user recruitment, interviews, and insights synthesis.
• Develop and deliver a compelling UX design and business pitch supported by qualitative and quantitative data.
• Utilize user personas, journey maps, and other visual deliverables to tell a compelling user story.
• Conduct user testing on wireframes and prototypes and iterate based on feedback.
• Design a unique design system complete with components, a style guide, and branding.
• Analyze competitors to articulate your solution’s differentiators and overall innovation.

Required Qualifications

• Interest in UX career paths such as UX research, UX design, product design, or service design.
• Willingness to commit 5-10 hours per week to complete program deliverables.
• Availability to attend 2-3 hour weekend lectures covering the full design process.
• Openness to feedback from UX mentors and a readiness to revise design work accordingly.
