Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and write;
- Support attorneys representing clients in dissolution of marriage, legal separation, common law marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities, post-decree matters, cases involving domestic violence and protection orders, and other domestic relations cases;
- Manage case deadlines and work with the team to develop case strategy;
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements;
- Attend mediation, arbitration, or other alternative dispute resolution proceedings;
- Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients;
- Consult with clients regularly to provide updates, guidance, and develop case strategy;
- Negotiate with counsel and parties to obtain favorable client outcomes;
- Assist in overseeing client trust account management and collections;
- Collaborate with other counsel and staff;
- Participate in personal and firm marketing efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado or have taken the bar exam in Colorado and awaiting admission or licensure transfer from another jurisdiction.
- A demonstrable interest in or experience in the practice of family law.
- Knowledge of Colorado family law statutes, case law, and local court rules.
- Trial experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a high degree of initiative.
- Exceptional legal research and drafting skills with a willingness to accept and implement feedback.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Experience and applied knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AdobePro.
- Experience with legal software such as Clio, Dropbox, and Math4Law.
- A sense of humor and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

- Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
- 110 hours per month billable hour expectation
