Job Description

Position Overview

At HDR, every role matters. As the QMS Internal Lead Auditor, you will perform internal audits, manage and secure audit data, and recommend process improvements to enhance quality culture. This role requires on‐site audits across various locations (approximately 50% travel) and is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, with opportunities in multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete QMS audit activities in accordance with the Internal Audit Process Manual and defined auditor duties.
  • Conduct on-site audits at various office locations (approximately 50% travel required).
  • Maintain organized documentation evidencing audit performance and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Recommend process improvements to management based on audit findings.
  • Comply with HDR ethical standards and the ASQ Code of Ethics for Certified Quality Auditors.
  • Support the Quality Office as a resource for promoting a strong quality culture.
  • Secure and manage the integrity and confidentiality of audit data.
  • Manage assigned annual budgets effectively.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional Bachelor's degree.
  • Passion for quality and continuous improvement with a commitment to HDR's QMS.
  • Experience executing quality conformance or audits within the A/E industry.
  • Certification or the ability to obtain certification as a Certified Quality Auditor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience as a Lead Auditor in the A/E industry.
  • Strong skills in MS tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
