Director, Design

Position Overview

As the Director of Design at LogicMonitor, you will lead the strategic evolution of our AI-powered observability platform. Working in a vibrant, hybrid environment based in or near Boston, MA, you will mentor a global team of designers and researchers, collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering, and transform complex challenges into elegant, user-centered solutions—all within a culture founded on trust, customer obsession, agility, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build the design strategy and design system for the platform.
• Engage with users to understand pain-points and ensure product solutions address them.
• Design UX rapid prototypes and high-fidelity screens for innovative experiences.
• Lead and mentor a global team of UX designers (Interaction, Visual, and Researchers) based in the US and India.
• Integrate UX processes tightly with Product Management and Engineering for smooth delivery from concept to production.
• Serve as a Product Design Advisor across the organization, driving end-to-end clickable prototypes and scalable design systems.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in design, UX, and product research, preferably in tech.
• Experience shaping people strategy including recruiting, development, and retention across divisions.
• Proven leadership of both senior and junior designers, including managing remote teams.
• Command of Agile Development methodology.
• Expertise in designing UX for data-intensive and SaaS products.
• Strong background in building design strategy, design systems, and proficiency in tools such as Adobe Suite, Sketch, Axure, or Invision.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, innovation, or problem-solving.
