Position Overview

Colorado Retina Associates is looking for an HR Assistant! Colorado Retina Associates is the premier retina practice of the Rocky Mountain region. Salary: $24.35 - $38.96 per hour
Schedule: Full Time, Hybrid
Location: Colorado

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employment and business-related data while ensuring records are kept in accordance with governmental regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure all operations are HIPAA compliant.
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, and hiring processes, referring complex queries to senior HR staff or management.
  • Perform data entry, Excel, and Word processing tasks and follow up on any required correspondence.
  • Assist with HRIS and payroll data entry and maintain employee information filing.
  • Manage and coordinate schedules for the HR department, including meetings and events.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with an even-toned disposition.
  • Research, document, and comply with data requests.
  • Support HR Leadership with benefits administration, staff training and development, payroll data entry, and finance/executive reporting requests.
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Develop spreadsheets and letter templates as needed.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations or other Microsoft Suite projects as directed.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma / GED
  • Experience Required: Two or more years of relevant experience or Associates Degree preferred
  • Exposure to HR management systems preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • General knowledge of office practices and procedures including basic filing.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, HRIS, and similar computer applications.
  • Understanding of process improvement, audit procedures, and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing using proper grammar.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and simultaneous demands, organizing and completing tasks effectively.
  • Ability to accurately record and maintain documentation.
  • Proficient skills in operating a personal computer with Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft products.
