Position Overview

Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Specialty or Entry Level)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers.
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, phlebotomists, and medical office staff to secure product orders and increase product usage.
  • Sustain or generate new and repeat orders for all products and programs.
  • Complete all required reports accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner to support overall business operations.
  • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Some college education and sales experience; strong initiative with exceptional customer service, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in attaining and exceeding sales goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiarity with contact management software.
  • Strong customer acumen with demonstrated relationship-building skills in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in interfacing with internal teams and external customers as part of a solution-based sales process.
  • Ability to collaborate with, support, and drive sales through channel partner organizations.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical sales training or industry knowledge, including attendance at CME seminars.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear messages.
  • Solid process orientation, resource management skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A sound understanding of healthcare/pharmaceutical industry trends and marketplace dynamics.
