Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to produce marketing materials for events.
  • Create content for multiple social media platforms.
  • Occasionally attend school functions outside of school hours to photograph for social media content.
  • Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of events, including but not limited to fundraisers, donor appreciation events, community outreach programs, and awareness campaigns.
  • Assist with comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the leadership team, functioning as the primary point person for all events hosted by the school.
  • Coordinate logistics, such as event setup, catering, audiovisual needs, signage, and transportation, to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Lead event promotion and marketing efforts through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, press releases, and partnerships with media outlets and influencers.
  • Manage event registration processes, attendee communications, and inquiries to provide exceptional customer service and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, nonprofit management, marketing, or related field is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in event planning, coordination, and management, preferably within the nonprofit setting.
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to innovate and adapt event strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Proficiency with donor CRM and Google suite of programs.
  • Performs as a solutions-based team player, is professional, maintains confidentiality, and has a donor-centric mentality.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the mission and values of the school, with a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
