Job Description

Position Overview

ERM is seeking an Entry Level Graphic Designer to join their global design team in a hybrid role near their offices in Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Boston, Washington D.C., Houston, or Rolling Meadows. In this client-facing position, you will support sustainability communications from creative concept development to design execution for sustainability reports, change management campaigns, digital dashboards, and branding systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide graphic design support on sustainability communications including reports, websites, identity systems, stakeholder engagement materials, digital dashboards, proposals, and presentations.
  • Consult with client teams and directly with clients to develop creative and engaging digital communications.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships both internally and externally.
  • Research and report on design trends to support ERM’s Visual Communication Design community.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications (or equivalent)
  • Recent graphic design graduate to four years of professional graphic design experience
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing print, interactive, and branding work
  • Experience with multi-page document and editorial layout design (e.g., annual/sustainability reports, books, brochures, magazines)
  • Superior understanding of typography and page layout
  • Extreme attention to detail with a commitment to quality control and file hygiene
  • Proficient in Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD) and Microsoft Office
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI design for digital experiences
  • Familiarity with CSS and HTML

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of environmental, social, or economic sustainability aspects
  • Consulting industry experience with large corporate clients
  • Experience in digital accessibility for websites and PDFs
  • Familiarity with Workiva and InDesign integration
  • Experience with Monday.com project management software
  • Video and animation production skills
  • Illustration, retouching, and 3D rendering capabilities
  • Social media experience on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Self-motivated with a flexible attitude and the ability to multitask under shifting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy, tact, assertiveness, and effective communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
