Job Description

Position Overview

We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health at SGMF-Sutter Gould Med Foundation. This position provides clinical and clerical support to providers and patient care teams by performing a variety of back office and patient-related tasks that support the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will help ensure smooth patient workflow and assist the patient care team in implementing the medical plan of care under the direction of a clinician.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and clerical support to healthcare providers and patients.
  • Ensure smooth patient workflow and assist in implementing the medical plan of care.
  • Perform back office and patient-related tasks that contribute to high-quality patient care.
  • Follow the direction of clinicians and adhere to standardized procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with completion of a medical assisting program per Medical Board of California requirements (diploma must be presented within 90 days) or equivalent Sutter Health training/on‐the‐job training in medical assisting for one year.
  • Certification: BLS – Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
  • At least 1 year of recent relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of medical procedures, human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: $27.35 to $32.81 per hour (may vary based on experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs).
  • Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Full Time – 40 weekly hours with 8-hour shifts, working Monday through Friday with occasional weekends as needed.
