Position Overview
At Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world. As a Lead Fab Technology Engineer specializing in Ion Implantation Specialty Gas Materials and Coatings, you will play a pivotal role in developing solutions for our customers’ most challenging requirements and driving new business opportunities. This role involves technical selling across a range of products including specialty gases, parts coating, and electrostatic chucks, and is based in Location: Danbury, CT, Bedford, MA, or Round Rock, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical and applications expert for ion implantation, supporting the development of end-user solutions involving specialty gas materials across North America and the EU.
- Establish strong customer relationships to become the go-to technical resource for ion implantation and coating technologies.
- Collaborate with account managers to identify, develop, and prioritize opportunities using the Entegris value selling process.
- Maintain and update the database of ion implant tools and Entegris Specialty Gas products installed at customer sites.
- Work with cross-functional teams such as account managers, supply chain, and quality to support customer requirements and operations.
- Serve as the primary interface between the customer’s technology team and Entegris’ R&D and Materials Solutions teams.
- Introduce new and continuous improvement technologies and products to customers.
- Address customer technical questions and concerns with diligence and expertise.
- Participate in the design and execution of experiments to support customer evaluations and product qualifications.
- Provide training to customers and internal teams on process solutions related to specialty gases, coatings, and electrostatic chucks.
- Offer leadership and mentorship to Fab Technology engineers across North America and the EU.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or an equivalent technical field.
- Five or more years of experience in a semiconductor fab, ion implant equipment company, or semiconductor gas materials company.
- Proven experience in ion implantation technology; candidates with experience in dry etch or epitaxy processes are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and technical seminars across North America and the EU.
- Ability to develop an in-depth understanding of Entegris technology and products.
- Strong critical thinking skills to distill key messages from diverse technical data sets.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain product performance in simple, customer-understandable language.
- Capability to assess business environments and develop tailored technical strategies for specific accounts.
- A demonstrated passion for innovation, along with a strong sense of ownership and determination.
- High level of English proficiency, equivalent to that of a native speaker.
- Strong planning, prioritizing, and goal-setting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Experience in integrated device manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of ion implantation processes and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of IC device integration.
