Position Overview
Our client, a global leader in manufacturing solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Process Optimization Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US.
This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality through industrial engineering principles
and advanced analytical techniques. You will collaborate on cross-functional teams, analyze current processes, and implement data-driven solutions.
This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and on-site, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
- Develop and implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
- Utilize statistical tools and techniques (SPC, DOE) to monitor and control process variations.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate process improvements and new methodologies.
- Create process simulation models to test hypothetical scenarios and predict outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on process improvement techniques.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project progress and results for senior management.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering departments to integrate new products and technologies into existing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations management.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistical software (e.g., Minitab), and process simulation tools.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements with measurable results.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead teams.
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
