Job Description

Position Overview

National Fuel is currently seeking an Engineer for an outstanding career opportunity in our Engineering Development Program located in Buffalo, NY. The program is designed to provide aggressive and advanced training through numerous temporary assignments on critical projects and programs, affording high visibility responsibilities and accelerated experience. After completing the development program, the engineer will be assigned to the engineering group that best fits the individual's abilities and company needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with design and construction teams on large system expansions including new pipelines, compressor stations, and gas conditioning facilities.
  • Participating in assignments within various Engineering groups such as Compression, Projects, District, Gas Storage, Integrity, Air, Electrical and Automation, and core operational support functions.
  • Rotating in key system support positions like evaluating system integrity, environmental compliance, and construction management.
  • Collaborating with teams responsible for emission reduction initiatives and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited university or college.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, proven technical abilities, and robust computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional time management, work ethic, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Willingness to travel, including temporary assignments in Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania during facility construction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degrees in Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, Environmental Engineering or Construction Management.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $78,000. The specific base pay will be determined based on professional experience, individual qualifications, licensures, industry experience, education, and market demands for specialized skills. Exempt positions are also eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
