Job Description

Position Overview

Jacobs is seeking a Entry Level Transportation/ Civil Engineer to join our Highway/ Roadways team in St. Louis, MO, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide. In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team, taking on a variety of tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application. Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects, and other senior technical staff, you will provide design and engineering services for highways, expressways, and major road networks. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize CADD to prepare various engineering drawings, layouts, and/or models to communicate project details in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Assist in providing technical and operational support including exposure to highway engineering principles, standards, and practices.
  • Contribute to project delivery for key clients, including design, environmental, and procurement processes.
  • Prepare right-of-way plans, detailed roadway designs, drainage, floodplain management, and intersection improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably MicroStation, OpenRoads, or Geopak).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience in design or transportation-related coursework.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
