What You’ll Do (Position Description)
The Director of Plant Operations is a part of our Senior Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for oversight of public utilities, security systems (alarms, access controls, etc.), HVAC systems, physical plant operations, housekeeping, dietary, grounds landscaping as well as managing capital projects. This individual will ensure compliance with pertinent healthcare building codes, accreditation standards, OSHA, and contractual work specifications and oversee emergency facilities operational initiatives and plans. In addition, this individual will oversee all construction projects and any work performed by outside vendors and contractors pertaining to facility maintenance, while assuring that all work performed meets fire and safety codes.
Oversees all day-to-day operations of Maintenance, Environmental Services and Dietary Departments. Works closely with Executive team, Purchasing and Clinical Departments to ensure seamless workflows. Attends and is a member of various workplace committees as well as serves as the facility’s Safety Officer.
Contributions to Team Success (Job Duties/Responsibilities)
- Oversee the facility operations of 55-acre Ambler campus including 2 outpatient facilities located in Coatesville and Broomall, PA.
- Ensure safe, efficient operations and maintenance of facility buildings
- Partner with the Senior Leadership Team including but not limited to Nursing, Clinical Services, Purchasing, CEO and CFO.
- Participates in developing and revising policies and procedures related to Safety and Environment of Care (EOC) compliance.
- Conducts various maintenance inspections and safety surveys to ensure a safe environment according to local, state and federal regulations and other applicable standards.
- Oversee Housekeeping services and ensures clean and sanitary environment including patient care and non-patient care areas.
- Oversees Dietary department management of daily food production activities.
- Maintain working relationships with various outside vendors.

Qualifications
What we need from you! (job requirements)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management and supervision
- HVAC certification and/or working knowledge of HVAC systems preferred
- Must have experience reading blueprints
- Understands Life Safety Codes, Joint Commission and other regulatory standards and OSHA regulations
- Experience working in a psychiatric facility highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills to meet shifting deadlines
