Job Description

Position Overview

Hansa Biopharma is a fast-growing, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company pioneering the development and commercialization of innovative treatments for patients with acute or complex immune disorders. As the Director, US Supply Chain, you will be based in our US headquarters in New York City and will be responsible for managing all aspects of supply and distribution to ensure continued product availability in line with customer and market demand. Reporting directly to the VP Supply Chain, you will play a key role in developing supply models, managing distribution partners, and ensuring operational excellence.

Location: NYC
Salary: $200,000 - $235,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee distribution, supply, and order-to-cash models based on product, indication, and financial requirements.
  • Select, negotiate with, and manage distribution partners, including monitoring KPIs and ensuring compliance.
  • Manage the purchase order process and financial flows with partners, as well as supply contracts with purchasing authorities.
  • Oversee inventory management across the supply chain, including monitoring finished product stock and expiry dates.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and internal teams to update artwork, packaging, forecasting, and planning requirements.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) in support of supply chain activities.
  • Participate in inspection readiness efforts for audits, ensuring compliance with company SOPs, protocols, and specifications.
  • Investigate non-compliance issues and recommend corrective and remedial actions.
  • Demonstrate high levels of personal integrity, strong negotiation skills, and effective leadership in managing a diverse team and external partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 10 years of US pharmaceutical supply and distribution experience, including support for a US product launch in hospital, transplant, nephrology, or orphan indications.
  • Proven experience in building and leading a US supply chain and customer services team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization including C-suite executives, CEO, and Board of Directors.
  • Capable of managing multiple, conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and able to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20%).
