Position Overview

Special Project Title: Capital Improvements for the SFPUC Wastewater Enterprise. Under general supervision, the Junior Engineer (Mechanical Engineering) in Program Controls provides scheduling, cost controls and support services for capital improvement projects. The successful candidate will develop cost‐loaded project schedules using P6, prepare monthly/quarterly project performance status reports, ensure adherence to Program Controls policies and procedures, perform cost control duties by analyzing data in PeopleSoft, SOLIS, and P6, proactively assist Project Managers with identifying and mitigating cost and schedule related issues, and maintain strong client relations. Work Location: 525 Golden Gate Ave, San Francisco, CA 94102, USA. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize P6 scheduling software for developing cost‐loaded project schedules.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly project performance status reports.
• Follow Program Controls policies and procedures.
• Perform cost control duties including setting up systems for cost control purposes and analyzing data in PeopleSoft, SOLIS, and P6.
• Proactively assist Project Managers with identifying and mitigating cost and schedule related issues.
• Develop and maintain strong client relations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in public utility projects.
• Strong communication skills and proven experience working with Project Managers.
• At least one (1) year of scheduling experience utilizing P6.
