Job Description
Position Overview
This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, you will support critical workforce development initiatives and act as a key liaison between leadership and training systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to leadership inquiries regarding training systems and policies.
- Serve as the central point of contact for LMS workforce training development efforts within the command and subordinate commands.
- Support human resources and workforce development events, including scheduling, preparation, facility coordination, and program initiation.
- Act as a liaison for integrating Distance Learning (DL) with the LMS by coordinating web-based training, CD-ROM, Computer Based Training (CBT), and virtual classroom implementations when appropriate.
- Collaborate with supervisors and senior management to promote awareness of LMS capabilities for efficient workforce planning and human resources development (HRD).
Required Qualifications
- You may qualify at the GS-12 level if you have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. This experience should include serving as a command's Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator and providing training and development as well as LMS-related advisory and customer service to both military and civilian leadership.
- Must meet the eligibility requirements under the Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA), ICTAP guidelines, and comply with the Selective Service Requirement. Additionally, candidates must satisfy any applicable time-in-grade requirements.
- Note: Education substitution may not be used in lieu of the required specialized experience.
