Position Overview
(un)Common Logic is seeking an experienced people manager with strong client and analytical skills. Account Managers are responsible for setting digital marketing strategy, maintaining day-to-day client relationships, managing analysts, and ensuring overall account performance for a group of 5-10 existing clients. This relationship management role focuses on delivering exceptional service and strategic insights.
(un)Common Logic is a digital marketing agency founded in 2008 and located in Austin, TX. Our team pursues excellence in marketing performance and high-touch customer service. The role starts as virtual with an eventual transition to our Austin office. Location: Virtual initially with eventual relocation to Austin, TX.
Experience Required: 5+ years in a client-facing role with 2+ years of people management. Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strategic account plans (both short- and long-term) for each client and execute against these plans with assistance from supporting analysts and staff.
- Own day-to-day communications with clients and maintain a positive, proactive relationship.
- Manage and mentor team members, including conducting performance reviews, hiring, and firing as necessary.
- Organize analyst workloads and prioritize activities on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensure accounts remain on-budget while meeting client performance goals.
- Provide strategic recommendations that align with the client’s business model and goals.
- Assist other account managers and analysts as needed to ensure overall client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in a client-facing role.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team of at least two direct reports.
- Demonstrated deep analytical capabilities (e.g. expertise with pivot tables and other advanced Excel features).
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.
- Ability to work virtually with an eventual transition to the Austin office; must currently live in the Austin area or be willing to relocate.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
