Job Description

Position Overview

Paratransit Operator serving Baltimore MTA Mobility. We are located at 2 convenient locations: 2600 Sisson Street & 4501 E. Lombard Street. In this role, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety-Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by transporting passengers throughout Baltimore and surrounding areas, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Passenger Care: Greet passengers, ensure fare payment, and provide exceptional care to facilitate smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
  • Vehicle Vigilance: Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly report maintenance issues, and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
  • Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures, enforce seat belt usage, and remain prepared for emergencies while complying with regulatory mandates.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 20 years or older with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid Maryland Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience, including at least 1 year professional.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and comply with DOT drug testing (including pre-employment and random screenings as per DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as assigned.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
