Job Description

Position Overview

The Sr. Lead, Category Marketing – Accessories, Outdoor & Youth role is responsible for developing category marketing strategies and overseeing the execution of marketing activities across Accessories, Outdoor, and Youth categories. This position drives brand consideration, affinity, and retail sales through consumer-focused activations, unified global launches, and close collaboration with regional and cross-functional teams. The role is based in Baltimore and follows a hybrid work schedule with four days in-office per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with regional cross-functional partners (revenue channel marketers, merchandising, visual, etc.) to prioritize storytelling for the Accessories, Outdoor & Youth categories with a focus on brand building and foundational commercial stories.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for all Accessories, Outdoor & Youth marketing initiatives.
  • Authors briefs (master, creative) to initiate and develop global-level support for the regions.
  • Partners with regional marketing channel teams to consult on seasonal tactical briefs and acts as a stakeholder during campaign execution.
  • Drives and delivers go-to-market timelines for global and regional campaigns.
  • Provides input on sports marketing briefs and activation for brand assets.
  • Drives global positioning and integrates planning while coordinating with regions to ensure campaign relevance.
  • Ensures that briefs and regional feedback help develop campaign elements that are successfully leveraged across markets.
  • Partners with and supports Product and Brand Marketing Leadership.
  • Builds close partnerships with all cross-functional teams to cascade relevant insights to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the Consumer Insights team to gather competitive analysis, industry studies, and sales data relevant to the global market.
  • Assists Marketing Ops in measuring the effectiveness of marketing tactics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant marketing experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented, consumer-driven company.
  • Proven ability to build marketing strategies tied to both long- and short-term business plans.
  • Strong background in product marketing, consumer and business analytics, and consumer segmentation and targeting.
  • Experience in creative process briefing, budgeting, and ROI quantification.
  • Proven internal client partnership-building skills with product teams.
  • A globally curious mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills for creative briefs and presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel) and Keynote.
  • Previous experience at a sports company or in a retail environment is a plus.

Base Compensation

$137,357.33 - $171,696.67 USD. Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience for the position.
