Labor & Employment Paralegal (FT or PT)

Position Overview

Demos Consultants is searching for a Labor & Employment Paralegal for a boutique law firm's Garden City, NY office. This position offers Compensation: $70,000-$90,000 and can be full-time or part-time depending on the candidate's preferences. The role requires at least 2 years of Labor & Employment experience, including federal court exposure and agency-related work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and compile legal documents for submission to agencies such as the EEOC and the Department of Labor.
• Assist in damage calculations and related financial documentation for litigation matters.
• Support attorneys with discovery processes, including gathering, organizing, and reviewing evidence.
• Conduct research and ensure compliance with federal and state labor and employment regulations.
• Collaborate with attorneys on case preparation, including drafting and finalizing necessary materials.
• Monitor deadlines and maintain meticulous records to ensure timely and accurate filings.
• Handle administrative tasks related to litigation and compliance as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Labor & Employment experience.
• Familiarity with federal practice and procedures, including EEOC and Department of Labor matters.
• Strong organizational and document management skills, including compiling and preparing complex legal documents.
• Knowledge of compliance processes and procedures with federal and state agencies.
• Experience in discovery and litigation processes, including damage calculations and case preparation.
