Test Engineer - Dragon 💰 Salary: $221,000 - 261,000 per year

📝 Rquirements:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or related engineering field
- Over 1 year of relevant hands-on experience with mechanical systems, structural systems, propulsion systems, fluid systems, flight hardware, or test operations
- 2+ years of preferred hands-on experience in the aforementioned areas
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively in team settings
- Knowledge of hazardous systems such as cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic, and pyrophoric design and handling
- Proven multitasking abilities and a strong sense of ownership in project management
- Demonstrated leadership during high-pressure scenarios, providing clear guidance to peers
- Familiarity with instrumentation and control components like pressure transducers and thermocouples
- Experience with 3D modeling software (Siemens NX, Inventor, CATIA, etc.)
- Proficient in at least one coding language (Python, Matlab, C, C++, Java, Visual Basic)
- Experience analyzing data from anomalies and determining root causes
- Proficient in writing and maintaining test procedures and hardware work instructions
- Creative mindset to design cost-effective, reliable, and efficient solutions
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, data reports, and mechanical or electrical schematics
- Excellent communication skills for both individual and group interactions, particularly in high-stress environments
👩💻👨💻 Your responsibilities are:
- Develop and implement tests at both engine and component levels to assess performance under mission conditions
- Take ownership of test campaigns by creating test plans, activating new systems, and overseeing test operations and data analysis
- Provide daily oversight and guidance to technicians for fabricating and integrating test articles and equipment
- Develop and update test procedures, sequences, scripts, configuration files, and software
- Operate and troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems, primarily using National Instruments tools
- Manage and troubleshoot fluid and mechanical systems involving various pressures and rocket propellants
- Operate mechanical systems including support structures, heat exchangers, and fluid components
- Automate repetitive testing processes to enhance efficiency and safety, while maintaining rigorous safety standards
- Identify potential system pitfalls and collaborate with design engineers to implement improvements for test stands and flight hardware
