Position Overview

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Sales Specialist for Oncology in San Diego, CA (covering Orange County & Inland Empire). In this field‐based role reporting to a District Manager, you will promote current and new oncology therapeutics, drive sales strategies, and work with cross‐functional teams to advance innovative healthcare solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Fulfill sales strategies by promoting current and potential new oncology therapeutics within approved specialties and accounts.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the products' clinical efficacy and safety, articulate a value proposition, and achieve brand sales objectives.
  • Conduct business analysis, actively prospect for new business, and develop account plans in collaboration with the District Manager and internal partners.
  • Develop customer-specific pre- and post-call plans including objectives, probes, and supporting approved materials.
  • Utilize company-approved marketing tools and digital resources, applying consultative selling skills to advance the sales cycle.
  • Request, organize, and attend relevant oncology conferences, which may occur on weekends.
  • Discuss access and reimbursement options with customers using approved messaging to enhance sales opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as necessary, including overnights and/or weekends.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, business-to-business sales, or transitioning from Active-Duty Military.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, which may include overnight or weekend travel.
  • Residing in the designated geography or willingness to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty sales experience and an understanding of Medical Oncology.
  • Experience in Multiple Myeloma.
  • A proven track record of success with the ability to influence and impact key stakeholders in a dynamic and competitive environment.
  • Experience in hospital and large account sales with documented history of successful performance.

  • Base Pay Range: $94,000 to $173,650.
