Position Overview
The Manufacturing IT Systems Engineer at Catalent’s Kansas City facility—a premier site for integrated drug development, manufacturing, and clinical supply services—plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day business needs in laboratories, manufacturing, and related support areas. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM, 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides System Administration for various GMP applications including network, software, and hardware support, as well as troubleshooting computerized systems and equipment for Laboratories, Manufacturing, and other technology support systems.
- Collaborates with Catalent Quality, Operations, and Validation to deliver Computer System Validation (CSV) projects and support tasks involving the integration and implementation of existing, upgraded, and new systems, equipment, instruments, and applications following GxP guidelines.
- Troubleshoots technical IT incidents and determines solutions/workarounds by working with system/equipment manufacturers, vendors, and third-party service providers.
- Partners with Validation and Technology Systems management to manage defined scope, schedule, and budgets for technology projects, working both independently and as a member of a project execution team.
- Identifies and implements improvement opportunities for Laboratory, Manufacturing, and Enterprise computer systems.
- Handles all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year of IT experience
- Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of IT experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with cGMP systems such as Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) (highly preferred)
- Prior experience in computer networking, cybersecurity, and data integrity (preferred)
