Junior Software Developer - Conversational AI

Position Overview

Job Title: Conversational AI Developer
Location: US REMOTE
We're a rapidly growing AI startup building voice-based agents that interact with users over the phone. We are seeking a curious, technically savvy, and proactive individual to lead the configuration, management, and optimization of AI agents for our clients, while collaborating with our development team to build out our proprietary AI infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Configure AI agents for client-specific applications and translate client business needs into high-performing AI voice agent workflows.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams, and test, optimize, and maintain deployed agents.
• Assist senior developers in designing, developing, and maintaining our proprietary AI agent infrastructure and integrating cutting-edge tools and APIs.
• Research and experiment with new AI platforms, voice technologies, and LLM tools to propose improvements and unlock new capabilities.
• Participate actively in client meetings, internal demos, brainstorming sessions, and foster effective team collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• Experience configuring workflows, writing prompts, and troubleshooting multi-step workflow logic.
• Comfort working with APIs, webhooks, and basic backend integration logic.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some programming experience (JavaScript, Python, or Node.js).
• Understanding of LLM prompting.
• Experience with Twilio, Whisper, Eleven Labs, or real-time speech-to-text/text-to-speech platforms.
• UI/UX familiarity, especially around conversational flow.
• Familiarity with at least one AI voice agent platform is a plus.
