In this role, you will act as a keyholder, bridging the gap between our sales associates and the management team to ensure the store runs smoothly, guests stay happy, and sales targets are smashed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the "Circle of Life" strategy by promoting trade-ins, new game reservations, and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring every person who walks in receives expert advice and a friendly greeting.
- Supervise floor staff in the absence of the Store Manager, delegating tasks and providing real-time performance feedback.
- Handle financial duties, including opening and closing the registers, reconciling daily sales, and making secure bank deposits.
- Maintain the store’s visual appeal by organizing shelves, alphabetizing stock, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting.
- Manage inventory flow by checking in shipments, processing defective returns, and fulfilling Omni-Channel (online) orders.
- Protect company assets by following loss prevention protocols and staying vigilant against retail scams.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to meet and exceed monthly sales goals and minimize inventory "shrink."
Required Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or an equivalent GED.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a leadership role (1+ years preferred).
- A genuine passion for or knowledge of the gaming industry is a major plus.
- Basic proficiency in math and the ability to navigate computer-based point-of-sale systems.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods (up to 10 hours), climb ladders, and lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
