Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, OT Cybersecurity

Position Overview

As the Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, OT Cybersecurity, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s digital and operational assets across enterprise IT and industrial control systems (ICS/OT). You will leverage the Dragos platform to optimize threat and vulnerability management, ensuring detection strategies align with operational resiliency.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analyses on cybersecurity solution changes to assess business impact and risk, resolving complex multi-functional technical issues.
• Leverage cybersecurity assessments and standards to ensure compliance across security systems.
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing security solutions, processes, and controls.
• Analyze current procedures and lead efforts to implement improvements or remediation.
• Develop and submit Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor networks, systems, and applications to detect any potential cybersecurity incidents.
• Investigate and analyze the scope of cyber incidents and contribute to innovative risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead the implementation of global security initiatives, policies, and compliance requirements while validating security metrics.
• Manage cybersecurity consulting and provide guidance to both internal teams and customers.
• Assist configuration teams by translating security principles into actionable processes.
• Monitor emerging IT/OT and cybersecurity technologies to stay ahead of evolving threats.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Dragos Platform Certified User Certification required.
• Dragos ICS/OT Cybersecurity Training Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as Security+, Network+, OSCP, GIAC, or CEH.
• ICS/OT Cybersecurity certifications such as GCISP and GRID.
