Position Overview

Join Cox Communications, Inc. as an Account Manager - Hospitality (Cox Business), where sales is both an art and a science. At Cox Business, we empower companies to adopt innovative technologies that deliver mobility, scalability, and growth. In this role you will develop effective account strategies, build meaningful client relationships, and drive sales through a lucrative commission plan. Compensation: $85,500.00 - $128,300.00 base salary, plus an annual incentive/commission target of $68,200.00. Schedule: Day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new prospects and generate sales opportunities with existing customers.
  • Develop and maintain sales plans for assigned accounts.
  • Meet with prospective and existing customers to assess technology needs and goals.
  • Use a consultative approach to educate and influence prospects about Cox Business products and services.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, maintaining in-depth knowledge of their business, industry, and key competitors.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle by minimizing churn and renewing contracts.
  • Develop strategies and presentations to sell complex bundled voice, data, and video solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing and products with both new and existing customers.
  • Represent Cox Business in the local community to network and enhance market presence.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience; or a master's degree with 4 years of experience; or 10 years in a related field.
  • A valid driver's license, a good driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Experience using Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office, and a CRM system.
  • Excellent relationship building, written communication, and formal presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in telecommunications, technology, or cloud sales.
  • A proven history of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • 3+ years of experience working with hospitality clients.
  • Familiarity with the local market and key industry contacts.
