Store Administrative Assistant

Position Overview

Scandinavian Designs | Dania Furniture is looking for a Store Administrative Assistant to create an amazing shopping experience while keeping the store running smoothly. In this role, you will greet customers, manage the sales floor as the "manager on duty," process transactions, perform HR tasks, and collaborate with Accounting on daily cash balancing and vendor checks. Located at 266 Bella Vista Rd, Vacaville, CA, this is a full-time, permanent (Non-Exempt/Hourly) position with Hourly Wage: $20-22/hr DOE (benefits eligibility depends on scheduled hours).

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer calls with professionalism and positivity.
• Lead the sales floor as the "manager on duty" to ensure smooth operations.
• Process sales transactions, refunds, and service orders with precision.
• Manage HR tasks including payroll, recruiting, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Accounting on daily cash balancing, bank deposits, and vendor checks.
• Keep the store stocked, clean, organized, and showroom-ready.
• Work closely with the team to solve problems and support a fun, customer-focused environment.

Required Qualifications

• A passion for retail, customer service, and organization.
• Natural leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS software, CRM, and accounting systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift furniture up to 25 lbs.
