Civil (Design) Engineer (Data Centers)

Position Overview

At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems. We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing group and support state‐of‐the‐art industrial and commercial projects. In this role you will manage aspects of site development, grading plans, and stormwater and earthwork analyses, ensuring technical quality and adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule. This opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States under a hybrid work policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Site development, site master planning, and site selection
• Underground utility routing and site space planning
• Hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
• Analysis and design of gravitational wastewater systems
• Preparation of final grading plans including cut/fill analysis and earthwork balancing
• Development of erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans
• Ensuring compliance with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements
• Stormwater analysis and modeling using software such as StormCAD and CivilStorm

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 8 years of engineering experience with extensive related project involvement
• Strong working knowledge and experience in designing medium to large scale industrial developments
• Proficiency with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
• Demonstrated capability to learn quickly and broaden technical knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• PE certification
• Experience with Bluebeam software
• Proficiency with Navisworks
