User Experience Design Manager

Position Overview

We’re looking for a UX Design Manager to lead the strategy and execution of user-centered design across web and mobile products. In this hands-on, visible role, you’ll design engaging digital experiences, shape UX best practices, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and agency partners to deliver seamless, impactful user experiences. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days onsite in the Newark, NJ area.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead UX and UI design across web and mobile platforms, from concept to delivery.
• Translate complex requirements into intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure designs align with business goals and are implemented with accuracy.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to communicate and refine design concepts.
• Manage and collaborate with external design agencies when scaling design capabilities.
• Establish design systems, patterns, and processes that improve consistency and efficiency.
• Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to drive design decisions and optimize user experiences.
• Mentor and support future design hires as the team grows.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio of web and mobile work.
• Background in eCommerce or other fast-paced, product-driven environments.
• Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, and usability best practices.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and external agencies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a user-first mindset and high attention to detail.
• Experience building or contributing to design systems is a plus.
