Job Description

Position Overview

As a Sr. Salesforce Business Analyst at Index Analytics LLC – a rapidly growing Baltimore-based consulting firm committed to a dynamic and employee‐friendly culture – you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. Leveraging your deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, features, and capabilities, you will serve as a bridge between end users and development teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and user expectations while working within Agile (Scrum and Kanban) environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and validate clients’ business needs and Salesforce application requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical teams, ensuring alignment of expectations and deliverables
  • Support project managers with managing the client relationship and deliverables
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, process flows, and system changes
  • Work with stakeholders to define product vision and Salesforce application requirements
  • Attend and facilitate requirements gathering meetings with the client to identify business, functional, and system requirements
  • Perform UAT and post-deployment testing to ensure accurate implementation
  • Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and progress updates
  • Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify opportunities
  • Communicate requirements to developers, testers, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate product functionality to stakeholders
  • Track and communicate project metrics and progress, and help manage risks and dependencies
  • Prioritize the features and epics on the program backlog
  • Write user stories and prioritize them based on requirements
  • Support effective change management practices
  • Create Salesforce training materials and guides
  • Ensure Salesforce solutions are aligned with internal policies and compliance standards
  • Evaluate and recommend new Salesforce tools or integrations

Required Qualifications

  • US citizen or Authorized to Work and resided in the US for 3 of the last 5 years
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government public trust clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, IT Project Manager, or in a similar role
  • 6+ years of Salesforce experience
  • Proficiency in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Must have agile certifications (SAFe or POPM certification is preferred)
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex requirements into actionable work items
  • Demonstrated ability to work with engineering and analytics teams to discuss technical concepts, remove roadblocks, and evaluate new ideas
  • Experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certification preferred; specifically Salesforce Business Analyst or Salesforce Administrator
