Position Overview

As a Human Resources & Operations Manager, you will occupy a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of people operations, payroll, financial oversight, and employee development. This role is full-time and in-person, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to build the internal foundation of a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Human Resources & Payroll: Own all employee and contractor payroll, reporting, and reconciliations (ADP experience preferred); manage onboarding/offboarding processes, background checks, drug testing, licensing, and maintain HR records and multi-state compliance.
- Financial & Operational Oversight: Handle operational and financial duties akin to a controller, support QuickBooks processes and reconciliations, oversee contractor payroll, and provide accurate internal reporting to support leadership decisions.
- Training, Learning & Development: Plan, schedule, and execute internal training initiatives including new-hire orientation and ongoing employee development; continuously improve onboarding experiences and training materials.
- Additional Responsibilities: Post internal job openings, serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and external partners, and contribute to building a positive, high-performing internal culture.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources and Payroll
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with comfort handling confidential information
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an evolving, fast-paced environment
- Proactive ownership and problem-solving attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a small, growing, or entrepreneurial organization
- Expertise with ADP Payroll
- Familiarity with Google Sheets/Excel and QuickBooks
