Systems Engineer Junior

Position Overview

Systems Engineer - Junior position based in Washington, DC (Onsite). Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in IT, a related field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Interviews will be conducted via Webcam Only. Employment Type: FULL_TIME.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrates working knowledge of technical and functional technology concepts.
• Provide recommendations for improvements to project standards.
• Adheres to best practices and standards for the use of the products and services.
• Interact with the Program Director and other members of the team.
• Function as a member of a technical team.
• Function as a member of a technical project team.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies: VMware, Windows, and Linux system administration.
• Foundational understanding of cloud technologies.
• VMware ESXi infrastructure build, administration, and support experience (2 years required).
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud technologies (2 years required).
• Experience with Dell Servers, configurations, and troubleshooting (2 years required).
• In-depth experience with Disaster Recovery and Avoidance planning (2 years required).
• Experience with Veritas NetBackup (2 years required).
• Experience with Zerto Cloud (2 years required).
• Experience leading projects, ensuring compliance with established standards/procedures (2 years required).
• Experience planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities (2 years required).
• Experience managing, configuring, and administering Windows operating systems (2 years required).
• Experience managing, configuring, and administering Linux operating systems (2 years required).
• Bachelor's degree in IT, related field, or equivalent experience.
