Position Overview

Web Marketing Editor at Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Tucson, AZ.
Arizona Public Media (AZPM) is seeking a full-time Web Marketing Editor to join our Marketing and Communications Team. Under the direction of the team’s director, the successful candidate will assist with content management for AZPM.org. You will be primarily responsible for daily updates to AZPM.org, including generating promotional content to highlight programming on AZPM’s Television and Radio platforms. Strong writing, proofreading skills, and familiarity with basic photo editing are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Write original copy and edit content for various online marketing and communications materials.
• Assist with creating and updating webpages for station projects.
• Create graphics and short videos for web and social media.
• Take and edit photos for editorial use.
• Develop articles and materials promoting television, radio, and news content.
• Craft captions for online video content.
• Update television schedules and show information.
• Assist in video curation of on-demand services.
• Manage and update podcasts for AZPM’s weekly radio series.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic HTML and Markdown.
• Exceptional writing and proofreading skills with the ability to modify content written by others.
• Proficiency in photo editing software, including Adobe Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong editorial judgment, organizational skills, research capabilities, and project development experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning through experience.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of professional copywriting and/or copy-editing experience.
