Position Overview
Arcadis, the world's leading company in sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy, is seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Planning Project Manager to join the Gulf Coast team. In this leadership role, you will drive growth through client development, manage complex environmental projects—from permitting and planning to regulatory compliance and QA/QC oversight—and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, high-quality environmental consulting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex environmental projects in sectors including energy, data centers, CCUS, and renewable energy with a focus on permitting, planning, and sustainability.
- Develop and execute permitting strategies while coordinating regulatory processes in compliance with NEPA, CWA, ESA, and related laws.
- Provide senior-level QA/QC oversight for client deliverables, regulatory filings, and technical documentation.
- Lead and mentor interdisciplinary teams of biologists, engineers, archaeologists, planners, and technical experts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, driving new business pursuits with an initial sales target of approximately $500,000+ in the first year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, urban planning, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience managing environmental planning, permitting, siting, and/or energy projects in Texas and the Gulf Region.
- Extensive experience with state and federal regulations, including NEPA, CWA, ESA, and CCN filings for PUCT.
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental planning and permitting for energy infrastructure, data centers, and/or CCUS projects.
- Strong technical writing, strategic problem-solving, and project management skills.

- Compensation: $124,700 - $187,050
