As the Engineering Portfolio Leader, you will define, design, implement, and operate world‐class products for EY and our clients while leading a global team. You will set vision, strategy, and execution for a portfolio supporting significant revenue, drive technological innovation, and foster a high‐ethical work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage and lead a global team of over 100 passionate engineers.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of products in partnership with Product Management, ensuring targets for timeliness, budget, and quality are met.
- Manage an overall budget (P&L) in excess of $XM (including hosting charges).
- Design, develop, and operate multi-tenant, global, scalable, and highly available products following the agreed Engineering Operating Model.
- Optimize ROI for both development and ongoing operational costs.
- Drive awareness, adoption, and reuse of platforms across EY and the external partner ecosystem.
- Implement DevOps practices and establish Site Reliability Engineering (SRE, DraaS) capabilities to continuously improve product availability.
- Advise and implement technology and platform strategy and standards in collaboration with cross-functional technology teams.
- Scout emerging technologies and solutions that benefit EY and its clients.
- Collaborate with EY Service Line technology teams on global-scale projects, including migrations and large-scale solution deployments.
- Represent EY as the lead in client pursuits for platform and cloud initiatives.
- Provide technical governance, set goals and strategies, and drive best engineering practices across a broad portfolio of products.
Required Qualifications
- University degree with a strong academic record.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- 15+ years of business experience in industry, technology, or professional services.
- 5+ years’ experience managing senior staff and offshore teams.
- Deep understanding of the IT lifecycle including pipeline, resource management, project delivery, and financial oversight.
- Expertise in full product and software development lifecycles covering definition, design, development, and operations of cloud-based products.
- Strong grasp of software engineering concepts such as multithreading, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, performance, and scalability.
- In-depth knowledge of application and infrastructure architectures with a focus on non-functional requirements like performance, reliability, and availability.
- Proficiency in modern software development practices including coding standards, source control, testing, debugging, build, deployment, and operations.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (on-premises and public clouds like Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) and Cloud Native application architectures.
- Demonstrated experience managing large IT budgets to drive productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster teamwork, transparent communication, and an inclusive culture.
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically as required.

- Compensation: Base salary ranges from $134,200 to $258,300 in the US, with higher ranges in selected regions such as New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California.
