Position Overview

We transform banking from a frustration into a catalyst for ambition, and we’re seeking a motion designer who will shape our visual, emotional, and creative presence across our website, campaigns, social media, and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help us create content for our website, campaigns, social media, and events.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Mercury's brand, storytelling approach, and audience to craft visuals that resonate and strategically elevate our content.
  • Effectively balance multiple projects from concept to final execution, managing timelines with clarity and calm.
  • Collaborate proactively in an environment that values diverse perspectives, creativity, and innovation.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in motion design.
  • A standout portfolio demonstrating a strong eye for motion and design.
  • Good aesthetic judgment with an understanding of timing, ease curves, composition, motion dynamics, and attention to finishing details.
  • A proactive problem-solving drive with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in After Effects or similar 2D motion tools.
  • Beginner to intermediate proficiency in Houdini, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar 3D tools.
  • Exposure to scripting (such as expressions in After Effects) is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of aspect ratios, resolutions, file formats, and codecs for optimizing export settings.
  • Ability to storyboard and mock up motion design projects.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly articulate concepts, ideas, and creative decisions.
  • Passion for collaborating with other designers and cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary plus Equity (stock options) and Benefits.
  • Competitive salary ranges: For US employees: $97,400-109,600 USD; For Canadian employees: 92,000-103,600 CAD.
