Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Regional Mechanical Engineer for the Central Region team at IPS.
  • Guide and audit the work of the Mechanical Engineering team for the Norman, OK Service Center.
  • Support staff placement in developing new engineering solutions and products within established timelines and budget.
  • Provide reverse engineering and general engineering support for all custom motor requests.
  • Ensure that repairs meet customer expectations.
  • Assist with the implementation of quality improvement actions.
  • Develop and implement a training curriculum for mechanical repair practices.
  • Champion the development of mechanical work motor repair instructions.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Five years of experience with the design, repair, and testing of industrial electric motors.
  • Expertise in design, manufacturing, application, repair, testing, diagnostics, and maintenance of industrial electric motors and generators.
  • Ability to perform RFCA and apply FMEA principles.
  • Proven experience in developing and completing work scopes compliant with applicable standards and specifications.
